Land Ahoy! After a delicious breakfast, the Limitless Travel tour team will be ready to assist everyone as you disembark and explore your first destination. Once a formidable Viking stronghold, Stavanger is renowned for its charming, well-preserved wooden houses that line the historic center, creating a quaint and picturesque atmosphere that transports you back in time.
Stavanger holds a significant place in Norwegian history, often referred to as the "Cradle of the Vikings." Its rich heritage dates back to 872, when Viking King Harald Hårfagre unified Norway at nearby Hafrsfjord, marking the beginning of the Kingdom of Norway. Beyond its scenic beauty, this vibrant city offers a unique blend of historical significance and contemporary cultural experiences. With its deep-rooted Viking legacy and lively modern scene, Stavanger provides the perfect opportunity to reflect on Norway’s fascinating past while enjoying its dynamic present.
Alesund's unique charm is defined by its whimsical Art Nouveau architecture, featuring turrets, spires, and other decorative touches that lend the town a fairytale-like ambiance. Carved over many centuries by glacial erosion, the towering mountainsides are adorned with numerous majestic waterfalls, adding to the dramatic beauty of the landscape. A visit to this beloved Norwegian attraction guarantees an abundance of natural wonders to marvel at.
*Please note that although the ship is due to dock at the port on this date, this destination can also be tendered due to its geographical placement. The port would only be tendered due to a circumstance outside of the captains control.
Nestled at the tip of the Nordfjord, the picturesque town of Olden feels like a journey back in time, with much of its charm reminiscent of the 17th century. Surrounded by towering mountains, a stunning fjordic coastline, and Norway’s natural wonders, Olden is truly a sight to behold.
The region is home to Jostedalsbreen, the largest glacier on mainland Europe, with easy access to both the Briksdal and Kjenndalen glaciers, which dramatically descend into the valleys below. Nearby, the crystal-clear waters of Lake Oldevatnet reflect the towering peaks and cascading waterfalls, creating a breathtakingly serene landscape.
In every direction, Olden showcases Norwegian nature at its finest, offering a truly unforgettable experience.
Crossing the imaginary line of the Arctic Circle as you cruise Norway’s starkly beautiful fjord-indented coast is a thrilling rite of passage to many travellers. Jagged, tooth-like mountains, their peaks dusted in snow even in summer, extend along the coast as far as the eye can see. Hundreds of rocky islets and skerries, remnants of the last Ice Age, are scattered across the sea. The design of the Apex has been carefully crafted with these breathtaking landscapes in mind. For unparalleled views, why not venture to the rooftop garden, where you can unwind with a drink in hand, soaking in the mesmerising scenery as the world passes by.
Dubbed as the Arctic's capital, this vibrant city in northern Norway sits above the Arctic Circle and stands out as one of the prime locations to witness the awe-inspiring Northern Lights. Tromsø, once known as the "Paris of the North," boasts a dynamic city centre teeming with youthful energy, a bustling harbour, and a diverse international culinary scene featuring charming cafes, lively pubs, and vibrant restaurants. Among its highlights is the Arctic Cathedral, constructed in 1965, and renowned for its stunning stained-glass windows.
Situated on the island of Magerøya, Honningsvåg stands as the northernmost city on mainland Europe and serves as the primary port for cruise passengers journeying towards the Arctic Circle. This rugged yet enchanting town is adorned with brightly painted wooden buildings set against a backdrop of expansive tundra, majestic fjords, cascading waterfalls, and dense forests. During your visit immerse yourself in the local culture by sampling the delicacies offered at the town's charming cafes and restaurants, which showcase an array of fresh seafood, "koldtbord" (cold table buffets), and traditional "pølser" (sausages).
Today, you'll find yourself back on board the ship as we continue our journey through the Arctic Circle. You might opt to unwind and soak in the mesmerising otherworldly landscapes. Alternatively, you can indulge in more of the ship's amenities. Explore the onboard art gallery or partake in the variety of entertainment options available throughout the day, including quizzes, speaker sessions, live music, games, and crafts. Or perhaps head to the theatre for a Broadway-style show!
Nestled along the tranquil shores of the Trondheim Fjord lies Trondheim, Norway’s third-largest city, where modernity beautifully intertwines with medieval charm. Explore the iconic Nidaros Cathedral, situated at the heart of the city, and admire its stunning Gothic architecture. As you stroll through the cobblestone streets adorned with colorful buildings, immerse yourself in Trondheim’s old-world allure. Experience the city’s vibrant cultural scene, which is alive with numerous galleries, museums, and festivals, making it a delightful destination to explore.
Discover Molde, a picturesque city in Norway affectionately referred to by locals as “the town of roses.” As the flowers still grow despite its northernly location. This charming destination is renowned for its stunning landscapes, vibrant blooming gardens, and the enchanting sound of jazz music that fills the air. As you explore Molde, you will be surrounded by an impressive backdrop of 222 snow-capped mountains, creating a dramatic and awe-inspiring view.
The sparkling fjord in the distance adds to the city’s breathtaking scenery, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike. Whether you’re wandering through the beautifully landscaped gardens, enjoying a leisurely stroll along the waterfront, or attending a local jazz festival (at certain times of the year,) Molde promises a delightful experience that captures the essence of Norway’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Be prepared to be captivated by the unique charm and stunning vistas that this lovely town has to offer!
Geiranger is a picturesque village situated at the head of the Geirangerfjord, one of the most famous and breathtaking fjords in Norway. It is remote even by Norwegian standards, with a unique rugged beauty. Winding your way through the Geiranger Fjord feels like the entrance to a secret world, protected by massive, snow-capped mountains on either side. Geiranger is famous for its numerous waterfalls, the most iconic of which is the Seven Sisters waterfall with its seven separate streams plunging from the cliffs into the fjord.
*Please note that although the ship is due to dock at the port on this date, this destination can also be tendered due to its geographical placement. The port would only be tendered due to a circumstance outside of the captains control.
Bergen, Norway—a former Viking stronghold—is a city straight out of a storybook, surrounded by deep fjords, towering mountains, and sweeping glaciers. Located on Norway’s southwest coast, this enchanting destination is steeped in history and natural beauty.
At the heart of Bergen lies Bryggen Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where winding cobblestone alleys transport you back through 400 years of Hanseatic history. Wander through artisan workshops, browse unique crafts, or visit the iconic Fish Market for a taste of the region’s famous seafood.
Bergen’s culinary delights include fish soup, cured salmon, herring, shrimp, and venison, but no visit is complete without indulging in a skillingsbolle—a sinfully delicious cinnamon roll that’s a local favourite.
As you arise for your last full day on board, why not savour the moment with a continental breakfast delivered right to your cabin? Take this opportunity to ensure you've experienced all the onboard facilities available to you. It's also the ideal time to connect with fellow Limitless guests you've met during your journey. After your last breakfast, we’ll help you check-out. Your bags will be taken down by the Celebrity crew and our care team will be on-hand to assist you.
