Snowdonia, Llandudno and North Wales

After boarding the coach at one of our designated UK meeting points, the holiday begins and we’ll make our way to the beautiful Snowdonia. Travellers in wheelchairs can opt to transfer to a standard seat or stay in their wheelchair, which will be safely secured in place. Upon arrival at your hotel, the tour team will help everyone get settled and unpacked before tucking in to your evening meal, ready for the adventures ahead.

After a hearty breakfast, the tour team will assist everyone in boarding the coach for a visit to Ruthin Gaol, a Victorian prison that was voted Wales' hidden gem in 2023. Once a functioning prison until 1916, Ruthin Gaol offers a fascinating glimpse into the harsh life of Victorian inmates. The historic site is fully accessible, with a lift to the upper floors, and features special access to exhibits for visitors with visual impairments, ensuring everyone can engage with and appreciate its rich history.

After exploring the Prison, the group will head to Rhyl to visit Rhuddlan Castle. While not all areas are wheelchair accessible due to the castle’s age, there is still plenty for everyone to enjoy. The castle’s integration with the surrounding landscape offers stunning views. Originally built by Edward I in 1277, Rhuddlan Castle continues to dominate the local scenery, showcasing its rich history and impressive architecture.

After a hearty cooked breakfast, we’ll set off to explore Llandudno, often referred to as "the Queen of the Welsh Resorts" since the mid-19th century. As the largest seaside resort in Wales, Llandudno is renowned for its long promenade, lined with elegant Victorian buildings along South Parade, reflecting its regal title. You’ll have the freedom to explore at your own pace, whether that’s strolling along the grand Victorian Pier, browsing the shops, enjoying the seaside arcades, or dining at one of the local restaurants. You might even treat yourself to fresh cockles and mussels, grab an ice cream, and snap some classic seaside photos. In the afternoon, we’ll relax with a traditional Welsh tea and enjoy great company before heading back to the hotel.

Towering over the region, the peaks of Snowdonia dominate the local landscape. Today, we’ll hop aboard the Llanberis Lake Railway steam train for a scenic journey into the heart of Wales' most stunning National Park. Fully wheelchair accessible, the train follows the edge of the picturesque Lake Padarn, passing through woodlands, castles, and charming villages, all while offering breathtaking views.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit the famously named Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (try saying that 10 times fast!). It’s a great spot for a fun photo-op, and while there, you can explore lovely local Welsh shops and pick up some souvenirs.

Today, your Snowdonia . After a hearty breakfast, our accessible coach will depart the hotel for our various UK drop-off locations. Relax, take in the North Wales countryside through the window and enjoy a little commentary from your Tour Manager. Now, all that’s left to do is say farewell to new friends and plan your next Limitless adventure!
