Holiday Overview
Through the Straits of Gibraltar to the heart of the Med
Enjoy 14 nights aboard the stunning Queen Anne as you take in the best the Mediterranean has to offer. Sample spectacular seafood, discover unique island cultures and visit some of Spain’s most exciting cities on a care-supported cruise you will never forget.
Your first port of call is the charming city of Vigo, located in Spain’s Galicia region and home to one of the continent’s largest fishing fleets and plenty of seafood tapas bars. From there, we head for the Med and the iconic Catalan capital, Barcelona. Here, you can explore the bustling Ramblas or visit Gaudi’s iconic Sagrada Familia. Next, it’s two very different Sardinian cities - the Catalan-influenced Alghero in the north and the postcard-perfect Cagliari in the south. As we journey back to the UK, we’ll visit modern Málaga and enjoy a stop in the British territory of Gibraltar, too.
A modern cruising experience aboard the Queen Anne
You’ll journey on the accessible Queen Anne - the latest addition to Cunard’s famous fleet. Having made its maiden journey in May 2024, it represents the epitome of the modern cruising experience. From its state-of-the-art interiors, which artfully blend contemporary style with a respect for tradition, to its incredible entertainment venues and diverse dining options, the Queen Anne never fails to impress.

** Limitless Travel carefully selects cruise itineraries to ensure minimal anchor ports (where a small boat or ‘tender’ transports guests to shore). Unfortunately, port changes can happen while at sea. Limitless Travel is not accountable for any port changes.
Your holiday begins! Whether you’ve made use of the complimentary parking or a Limitless transfer, our team will be there to help you check in your bags and board the ship. Those guests staying in an accessible cabin will also benefit from Priority Embarkation. We know check-in and boarding can be a nervous experience for some travellers, so Limitless assists with every aspect. You can learn about our check in and boarding support in greater detail in our FAQs.
Once aboard the cruise ship, you’ll have a chance to settle into your cabin, explore the ship, and meet your fellow Limitless travellers. The Limitless Care Team is always available to provide support and ensure your holiday gets off to the best possible start.
Your first day at sea is all about exploring the ship and settling in. Typically, the Limitless Team meets with everyone in the morning to catch up over breakfast, make sure you had a comfortable night, discuss the day ahead, and plan activities. We often lunch and dine as a group as well, so you’re never short of company.
During days at sea, there’s plenty to see and do on the Queen Anne. As a group, Limitless travellers often enjoy a relaxed morning, followed by a group lunch and some afternoon fun - be it a theatre show or a musical performance. Then it’s time to get dressed up for a delicious dinner, followed by some fantastic evening entertainment. Of course, how you spend your day is entirely up to you! But it’s good to know that the Limitless Team and your fellow travellers are always around too.
Vigo is home to Europe’s largest fishing fleet and is a thriving modern city with a riveting history. A warm and welcoming place that’s perched on the southernmost point of Galicia’s rugged Atlantic coast, it’s renowned for its world-famous seafood. Pulpo (octopus) is a local favourite, especially when washed down with a glass of Galician Albariño. A visit to Ruá de Pescaderia, where Vigo's iconic oyster sellers showcase their wares, is also a must.
As the ship docks right in the heart of the city, visitors are immediately surrounded by the lovely bars and cafes that line the marina. We highly recommend sampling the local cuisine and exploring the flatter city streets around the water. As Vigo is hillier as you move away from the marina, it can be difficult to navigate for Limitless travellers. However, the local shopping mall by the port has lifts and a walkway bridge that brings you out at the top of town. This enables you to explore a little further and ensures everything is downhill.
If you’re looking to cool off when the Queen Anne reaches warmer weather, Cunard has you covered. The ship is equipped with two traditional swimming pools, one of which is fitted with a hoist. The pools are located in the Panorama Pool Club, an outdoor area with a bar, loungers, and live music and DJs, and the Pavilion Venue, a spectacular venue with a retractable glass dome roof.
The Mareel Wellness and Beauty facilities are the perfect spot for a bit of pampering too. Featuring a cold room, a Himalayan salt sauna, and a thermal pool, it’s a fantastic place to unwind and relax. A variety of wellness treatments, including skincare, cupping and massages. If you’re looking to enjoy the onboard facilities, we recommend talking to your Tour Manager to ensure accessibility.
When it comes to entertainment, the Queen Anne has it all. From live music to theatre shows and cabaret, you’ll enjoy an ever-changing lineup of performers to thrill and captivate you. The Brights Light Society is an exciting collaboration with RWS Global and puts on a range of interactive shows, including interactive cinematic productions and variety performances. The Queens Room is renowned for its Cunard Signature Afternoon Tea and live music in the evening.
However, the two most prestigious venues aboard the Queen Anne are arguably the Royal Court Theatre and the Pavilion. While the former brings West End productions and fascinating Cunard Insights talks to the high seas, the latter features a retractable glass dome roof and shows alfresco movies in partnership with the BFI.
The Catalan capital is a seaside destination like no other. Whether you’re enjoying some shopping on Las Ramblas, marvelling at Modernist architecture, or chowing down on tapas at a fantastic local bar, it’s difficult not to fall in love with one of Europe’s most energetic and exciting cities.
In Barcelona, Limitless travellers have the option to join an accessible city tour. Starting with a driven sightseeing tour that visits some of the city’s most iconic attractions. Though the attractions can vary, they often include the Columbus monument, Montjuïc, and the Palau de la Música Catalana, among others. After lunch, it’s time for a guided tour of the Sagrada Familia, one of the world’s most iconic architectural designs. A scenic drive back to the ship will round out the day.
With 31 restaurants, bars and lounges, you’re spoiled for choice aboard the Queen Anne. Finished in a range of styles to ensure there’s something for every kind of taste, the ship’s lounges include the nautically-themed Chart Room, the refined Carinthia Lounge, and a traditional British Pub, among others.
When it comes to mealtimes, you have a world of choice on the Queen Anne. While Cunard’s famous White Star Service is available at the Britannia restaurant, you can also choose from an array of other options, including the Mediterranean-inspired Tramonto, the Japanese flavours of Aji Wa, and India’s diverse and delicious cuisine in Aranya. With so much to choose from, you’re in for a treat!
A postcard-perfect medieval city that captures the imagination of many a visitor, Alghero wears its Catalan heritage proudly. The local language - Algherese - is a Catalan dialect and Catalan gothic architecture is prevalent throughout the city. Surrounded by impressive sea walls and perched on the island’s northwest coast, it’s home to a wide array of excellent restaurants serving up the best in local Sardinian cuisine.
For Limitless travellers, walking along the bastioni - the beautiful sea walls - offers fantastic views over the Mediterranean. However, the city’s historic centre, focused on the Piazza Palazzo, is where you’ll find the bars, restaurants and bustling streets that best represent Alghero’s wonderful atmosphere.
There are few better ways to arrive at the spectacular Sardinian capital than by boat, so Limitless travellers are in for a treat. Historic and atmospheric, the Carthaginians, Romans, Byzantines, Spanish Habsburgs and Italians have all left their mark on the city. Today, it is a thriving, modern city with a lot to see and plenty of mouthwatering Sardinian cuisine to enjoy.
Cagliari can be quite hilly, so mobility equipment will help Limitless travellers get the most from their time onshore. The MUTSEU (Museo del Tesoro e Area Archeologica di Sant'Eulalia) offers an insight into the city’s archaeological past and features many fascinating Roman exhibits, including an authentic Roman road. The Cathedral of Santa Maria di Castello is also a popular attraction. Both are accessible.
On the Queen Anne, you don’t have to wait to reach dry land to enjoy a little shopping. The ship is equipped with a number of boutiques stocking some of the world’s leading brands. Several shops are located around the Grand Lobby, including the Garrard fine jewellery boutique and a dedicated Cunard Collection shop, while the Cabinet of Curiosities and Experience Lounge take things to the next level with a truly special retail experience too.
On top of Cunard’s exciting selection of retail shops, it also features a well-stocked library, so you can enjoy some holiday reading in your downtime. A fantastic art gallery also presents a host of works from up-and-coming and established artists and gives you the opportunity to return home with a truly special holiday memento.
While much of Andalucía has a reputation for being relaxed and laid back, that’s certainly not true of Málaga. Youthful, exciting and always moving, the city is modern Spain at its most alive. Great food, a thriving art scene and plenty of cultural attractions ensure it’s a wonderful city to visit. The fantastic climate doesn’t hurt either.
In Málaga, Limitless travellers can explore the city’s beautiful waterfront. With plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes, it’s a great place to grab some lunch and watch the world and Los Boquerones (an affectionate nickname for the locals that comes from the city’s most iconic dish - salted anchovies) go by. A little further afield, the excellent Picasso Museum is accessible and certainly worth a visit.
Dominated by the towering Rock of Gibraltar, this British Overseas Territory may be tiny (just 6.8 km²), but it has played an outsized role in history thanks to its position guarding the Straits of Gibraltar and entry into the Mediterranean. Today, it’s best known for transplanting British culture to the southern tip of Europe and it’s a fantastic stop if you’re hungry for some good fish and chips.
Gibraltar packs a lot into a small space and tends to be busy, so the Limitless group often walks the 10 minutes to the top of town and then explores the local streets. A little slice of the UK in southern Spain, you’ll see plenty of famous British sights and symbols - from red phone boxes to high street brands - and have the opportunity to enjoy some heavilydiscounted tax-free shopping.
If you’re heading to warmer climes, the Queen Anne features plenty of beautiful outdoor spaces to ensure you’re able to make the most of it. While the Panorama Pool Club is the place to head if you want gorgeous sea views and a relaxed poolside atmosphere with drinks and music, the partially covered Cabana bar serves up rum-inspired cocktails to those looking for a shadier outdoor spot.
For the best vistas as you head into your next port stop, head to the Observation Deck and Sky Bar, where you can enjoy some of the most uninhibited views on the ship. It also features a range of games, such as shuffleboard and deck quoits, making it the perfect place to spend some time during sunny days at sea.
By now, you will have spent a few days exploring the Queen Anne and enjoying the facilities, activities and entertainment. But we guarantee there are still things you’re yet to see, do or find. Have you visited the onboard library? Tasted the tempura at the Japanese-inspired Aji Wa restaurant? Expanded your horizons at one of the Queen Anne’s award-winning Cunard Insights talks?
As we make our way back to Southampton, this is a great opportunity to check out those parts of the Queen Anne you’re yet to see or return to your favourite spots. Or just relax in total comfort and reminisce about the places you’ve seen over the course of your holiday. Have a chat with your Tour Manager in the morning and organise the perfect final day.
Following your final breakfast aboard the ship, the Limitless team will assist with check-out. The ship’s crew will take down your bags, and we’ll help you disembark, make sure you reach your pick-up, and say our farewells. Your transfer will then get you home, dropping you off at your front door.
We can’t wait to see you on your next Limitless holiday!

How does Limitless assist with check in and boarding?
Having met the Limitless Team at the port, we'll accompany you to the special assistance check-in. As it's separate from regular check-in, there are no crowds or lengthy queues.
You'll then be given a boarding time. Usually, we board as a group. However, if this isn't possible and you would like the assistance, we ensure a carer accompanies you onto the ship.
We board via the accessible gangway. This ramp connects the ship to the port. If you require support or assistance, both the Limitless Team and the ship's crew will be on hand to help. There are also manual wheelchairs available to make this transfer easier.
On some ships, the accessible gangway can be a little steep. In these instances, two crew members will provide support - one in front and one behind. You'll never be rushed and your safety and comfort are always the priorities.
Remember, you don't need to pre-book any special assistance at the port! We provide this assistance as standard with all Limitless cruises.
