Your Winter Warmth Escape

Swap the grey November weather for two relaxing weeks of brighter skies, Atlantic scenery and fascinating destinations aboard P&O Iona.

Sailing from Southampton, you’ll visit seven distinctive ports across Portugal and Spain. Begin among the lush landscapes of Madeira before island-hopping between Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. You’ll then experience atmospheric Lisbon and the northern Spanish cities of Vigo and A Coruña.

Alongside these fantastic destinations, six unhurried days at sea give you plenty of time to enjoy everything Iona has to offer. Explore its restaurants, pools and entertainment venues, watch spectacular shows beneath the glass roof of the SkyDome or simply find somewhere comfortable and watch the ocean pass by.

There are no flights to catch, hotels to change or repeated transfers to organise. Your accessible cabin, restaurants, entertainment, care and support all travel with you. You can unpack once, settle in and enjoy a slower, easier way to explore.

With personalised support from the Limitless team and the company of a friendly group, everything is taken care of. You can simply relax, enjoy the journey and return home rested and refreshed as the festive season begins.

Big-Ship Facilities. Small-Group Experience.

Iona brings together the facilities and entertainment of a world-class cruise ship with the reassurance of travelling as part of a friendly Limitless group.

You’ll also find theatre productions, live music, comedy, films, activities and a wide choice of restaurants, cafés and bars.

The Limitless team will organise opportunities for the group to enjoy meals, activities and entertainment together throughout the cruise. You can spend the whole day with the group, dip in and out, join everyone for breakfast or dinner, or enjoy Iona completely independently.

However you choose to spend your holiday, familiar faces and personalised support will always be nearby when you need them.

We Take Care of Everything, Especially You

Your winter warmth escape begins at your front door, where our trusted accessible transfer provider will collect you for the journey to Southampton. You can travel comfortably and at your own pace, knowing you’re in safe hands from the moment you leave home. Complimentary parking is also available for guests who prefer to travel to the port independently.

When you arrive at the cruise terminal, you’ll be met by the Limitless team in our famous blue polo shirts. As you get out of the taxi, our team will take over and take care of everything. We’ll unload your luggage, help you check in and support you through the terminal, ensuring you board Iona comfortably and with confidence.

By the time you reach your accessible cabin, your luggage will be on its way to you and you’ll be introduced to your cabin steward. The Limitless team can help you unpack, settle in and make a cup of tea to enjoy as Iona sets sail from Southampton.

Once you have settled in, we’ll introduce you to your fellow travellers and help you begin exploring the ship. That evening, we’ll come together for our first group dinner and enjoy the opening night aboard Iona. By the end of the evening, those initial worries will feel a long way behind you and your holiday will be well underway.

The Limitless team will organise opportunities for the group to spend time together throughout the day. You might share breakfast overlooking the ocean, meet for coffee, join a quiz or gameshow, watch a performance or explore a new part of the ship together.

How involved you want to be is entirely up to you. You can spend the whole day with the group, dip in and out of activities, join everyone for breakfast or dinner, or enjoy the ship completely independently.

Whatever you choose, your Tour Manager and care team will be nearby whenever you need assistance, company or help making arrangements. Iona may be enormous, but travelling with a friendly Limitless group makes the experience feel reassuringly personal.

Day 3 At Sea

Accessible Swimming and Relaxation at Sea

With another full day at sea, you’ll have plenty of time to relax and experience more of Iona’s facilities.

On one of our sea days, we’ll organise an opportunity for the group to enjoy one of the ship’s accessible swimming pools together. Selected pools aboard Iona have pool hoists, enabling travellers who cannot use the steps to be transferred into the water.

If you require assistance, the Limitless team will be there to help with the pool hoist, getting changed and accessing the facilities. Our Personalised Holiday Support team can also provide practical assistance with swimming where required, helping more travellers enjoy time in the water with confidence.

You can join the group for the full experience, stop by for a short swim or choose to spend the day elsewhere aboard the ship. Iona also offers whirlpool spas, treatment rooms, comfortable lounges and plenty of peaceful places to relax with an ocean view.

This is one of the reasons cruising works so well for disabled travellers. Your accessible cabin, restaurants, entertainment, care and support all remain in one place. There are no hotels to change, repeated transfers to organise or bags to keep unpacking.

You can explore the city with your fellow Limitless Travellers or enjoy it independently. You might sample a traditional pastel de nata, browse the shops or simply find a comfortable spot from which to watch the city go by.

Lisbon’s famous hills and traditional pavements can make some areas more challenging to navigate, so your Tour Manager will be available to help you understand the accessible options and plan an experience that suits you.

How does Limitless assist with check in and boarding?

Having met the Limitless Team at the port, we'll accompany you to the special assistance check-in. As it's separate from regular check-in, there are no crowds or lengthy queues.

You'll then be given a boarding time. Usually, we board as a group. However, if this isn't possible and you would like the assistance, we ensure a carer accompanies you onto the ship.

We board via the accessible gangway. This ramp connects the ship to the port. If you require support or assistance, both the Limitless Team and the ship's crew will be on hand to help. There are also manual wheelchairs available to make this transfer easier.

On some ships, the accessible gangway can be a little steep. In these instances, two crew members will provide support - one in front and one behind. You'll never be rushed and your safety and comfort are always the priorities.

Remember, you don't need to pre-book any special assistance at the port! We provide this assistance as standard with all Limitless cruises.

What is Limitless Group Support and Holiday Assistance?

Group Support & Holiday Assistance is included as standard with all Limitless holidays. It's what sets us apart from every other UK holiday provider!

This level of support is suitable for those who do not require physical support, but may need a helping hand to make the most of their holiday experience. We provide this assistance in a group setting, so you must be able to support yourself if you intend to leave the group at any point.

What does Group Support & Holiday Assistance include?

✓ Pre-holiday assistance from your Personal Travel Advisor, who will answer any questions you have and provide support with hiring any limited mobility equipment you require.

✓ During your holiday, the Limitless Team will assist you with making the holiday accessible day-to-day, including:

✓ Help with checking into your hotel

✓ Assistance with luggage

For more details, speak with a member of the Limitless team on 0800 711 7112.

What can Limitless do if I require additional care and support?

At Limitless, we offer a range of additional care packages if your require a little more assistance. This allows us to tailor care to individual Limitless Travellers and ensure your needs are met while on holiday.

They range from our Morning, Evening & Occasional Daytime Care package for travellers who require intermittent assistance with personal care to our One-to-One Care With Hoisting package for travellers who would benefit from comprehensive, all-day care.

We always recommend getting touch with your Personal Travel Advisor to discuss care packages. They are always on hand to answer questions, provide information, and make recommendations about the package they think is most suitable for you. You can contact Limitless on 0800 711 7112.

In addition to this, our care team will also reach out to you three months before your holiday to confirm you have everything you need to travel with complete confidence.

What are anchor ports and is Limitless responsible for port changes?

At Limitless Travel, we carefully select cruise itineraries with minimal anchor ports. Anchor ports are those destinations where port logistics mean a small boat or ‘tender’ transport is required to ferry guests to shore. In the vast majority of cases, these tenders are not accessible and some Limitless Travellers will not be able to leave the ship.

Unfortunately, port changes can happen due to any number of reasons while at sea. Limitless Travel cannot be held accountable for any such port changes.
