Today will be truly special, as we’ll be visiting one of the UK’s most iconic buildings, Buckingham Palace. Home to HRH King Charles, the palace acts as the Royal Family’s London residence and contains more than 775 rooms, as well as the largest private garden in London. We’ll be accompanied by an experienced tour guide throughout the visit, which will take in the Royal State Rooms, the Throne Room, the Picture Gallery and Ballroom, as well as the Royal Gardens. Once the tour is complete, we’ll refuel with a bite to eat and make our way back to the hotel, where you can pass the rest of the day however you please.
On Day Four of your Royal Tour, we’ll tour the King’s second residence, Windsor Castle. Founded by William the Conqueror, the castle has been lived in by the British Royal family for nine centuries, making it the oldest occupied royal residence in Europe. The Queen’s preferred weekend home, Windsor Castle boasts a fascinating past and represents nearly a millennium of architectural history. Having finished the tour, we’ll stop for a relaxed lunch in Windsor, then board a fully accessible boat for a gentle cruise down the River Thames. Once the gateway to the city of London, the river has played a central role in the capital’s development and is the perfect place to end your accessible Royal Tour.
