Once an exclusive seaside retreat for Victorian royalty, Bournemouth has since been embraced by the wider public to become one of the nation’s favourite holiday hotspots. While its beautiful beaches are rightly heralded as amongst the best in Europe, the town itself boasts a diverse array of museums and galleries, some of the best restaurants and cafes in the country, and a wonderful, paved promenade that benefits from an enjoyable land train and several accessible cliff lifts.
While your first full day on holiday will centre on Bournemouth seafront and town centre, the second day sees us head further west to explore the geologic grandeur of the Jurassic Coast. With its remarkable rock formations and picturesque countryside, you’ll experience this idyllic stretch of coast first-hand via an accessible cruise and a visit to Durlston Castle & Country Park.
Finally, your disabled holiday in Dorset also includes a day trip to the Isle of Wight. There, you’ll see the island’s famous, jagged rocks - known as the Needles - tour the breathtaking coastline, and have the opportunity to pick up some mementoes of your memorable holiday. Your disabled-friendly Bournemouth hotel has been hand-picked by the Limitless Team for its superb location and excellent disabled facilities. A Limitless Travel representative will accompany the tour group throughout the holiday, providing assistance whenever required and ensuring you receive the support you need.

On your first full day on holiday, we’ll explore Bournemouth and enjoy its spectacular seafront. The town’s beach has been voted the best in the UK several times and regularly appears in the top 10 for all of Europe - so you’re in for a treat! After breakfast, we’ll take a five-minute stroll down to the promenade and then head to the Russell Cotes Art Museum & Gallery. Cotes was a famous art dealer who travelled the world collecting paintings, statues, furniture and trinkets. In 1901, he gifted his beloved wife a grand cliff-top house in Bournemouth for her birthday and they proceeded to fill it with items from their collection. Later, the house was turned into a museum and gallery and the Cotes’ fascinating collection was opened to the public. We’ll be taking a look around this beautiful building, and then we'll treat you to yummy cream tea in the cafe. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore the seafront, pier, arcades and gardens at your own pace. As always, the Limitless Team will be on-hand should you require any assistance.
Day Three of your Bournemouth & IOW tour takes us to Swanage, a beautiful seaside town on the Dorset Coast. There will be chance for a wander around the quaint town and pick up some souvenirs. After lunch we will enjoy an accessible steam train ride through the stunning isle of Purbeck.
