Day 1 Travel to Cyprus

After meeting the Limitless Team at the airport special assistance desk, we’ll make our way through security and head for our boarding gate together. We recommend booking special assistance with the airport before flying if required, but the Limitless team will also be on hand to provide additional support as we check in and board the plane. We're there to ensure the airport experience is as easy as possible, advocate on your behalf, and give you the confidence to fly, so we'll be by your side throughout the journey.

On arrival at our destination, the Limitless Team will help you through the airport and onto the awaiting accessible transfer vehicle. From there, it’s on to your excellent disabled-friendly hotel, where we’ll check in, get you settled and comfortable in your room, and enjoy a delicious evening meal with your fellow guests. 

Day 2 Relax Poolside & Settle In

On your first full day in Cyprus, we’ll take it easy, settle in at the hotel and enjoy its fantastic facilities. With a hoist-accessible pool and raised sun loungers, the hotel is perfectly equipped for disabled visitors who want to top up that tan and then cool off with a quick dip! Your hotel is owned and run by a wonderful, welcoming family, who you’re sure to meet as you relax, unwind and bask in the Mediterranean sun.

In the evening, we’ll gather and make our way to a local accessible restaurant to share our evening meal. Just a 10-minute stroll or roll from the hotel, the short walk will give you your first taste of the local town, Polis. Dinner is a brilliant opportunity to get to know your fellow Limitless Travellers a little better and enjoy Cyprus’ mouthwatering cuisine.

Day 3 Postcard-Perfect Polis

Located on the north-western edge of the island, Polis is a pretty, traditional town, and we’ll spend today exploring its old-world charms. Daily life revolves around the pedestrianised central square, where you will find plenty of shops, cafes and atmospheric tavernas, from which you can sit back with a coffee or refreshing beverage and watch the world go by at a wonderfully languid pace.

Polis is also home to Blue Flag beaches, the largest of which is a beautiful crescent sweep of golden sand and turquoise waters. The calm Mediterranean Sea and shallow water ensure it’s a safe and enjoyable spot for swimming. Much of the area surrounding Polis is a protected nature reserve, so visitors also benefit from spectacular, unspoilt landscapes.

Founded towards the end of the 11th Century by the Byzantine Emperor Alexios I Komnenos, Kykkos Monastery is one of the wealthiest on the island. Situated in the breathtaking Troodos mountain range, it is home to one of only three icons attributed to the apostle Luke and is famed for its lavish interiors and spectacular artwork.

The monastery was partly destroyed in a series of fires, though enough of the structure remains to give you a real feel for its historic grandeur. These fires make up just a small part of the monastery’s fascinating history, which also includes tales of hermits, plagues of locusts, and one-armed Turks. You’ll learn about all of this, and more, on your guided tour of the monastery and surrounding area.

Following our day exploring the Troodos Mountains, today is all about unwinding and embracing the gentle pace of island life. While you’re welcome to take it easy at the hotel, there’s also the option to head to Latchi accessible beach, which is just a 10-minute taxi journey or a 35-minute mobility scooter ride from the hotel.

The beach is equipped with a mechanical hoist that allows for easy access to the sea, while its white sand and pristine waters reflect the remarkable natural beauty of the Cypriot coast. Of course, you could also wander into Polis or talk to the Limitless Team about other possible excursions, too.

Please note, this is an optional beach excursion and may not be available in autumn or winter. Transfers to and from the beach can be arranged for an additional cost, subject to availability.

Day 6 Explore Ancient Paphos

Today, we’ll visit the coastal city of Paphos. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and former European Capital of Culture, the city boasts a fascinating mythology, equally impressive history and striking architecture. Celebrated as the birthplace of the Greek goddess Aphrodite, Pathos abounds with landmarks, all of which have a story to tell. The Tomb of Kings houses the remains of the city’s ancient residents, while the Paphos Archaeological Site features the remnants of the island’s 2000-year-old capital.

For those looking to enjoy Paphos’s modern amenities, the array of accessible beaches and alfresco bars, cafés and restaurants means there are plenty of spots to sample the best in Cypriot cuisine, grab a cooling beer, or watch the boats come and go in the busy harbour. With a diverse range of shops and boutiques around the water’s edge, it’s also a good place to pick up your holiday souvenirs.

Day 7 Relax, Unwind & Enjoy the Sun

On your penultimate day in Cyprus, you can soak up the sun, kick back by the accessible pool and make sure you enjoy a relaxing day in paradise. The Limitless Team will be on hand to help if you would like to organise a local excursion, too. Why not take a trip over to the local beach for a dip in the sea or a classy cocktail at the beach cafe? Or head into Polis for a lazy lunch and a little last-minute shopping?

Once again, we’ll meet in the evening and make the short walk over to the accessible restaurant for our farewell dinner. It’s sure to be a lovely evening sharing holiday memories and enjoying the fantastic company of new friends.

Day 8 Airport Transfer & Flight Home

We’ll be on hand to help you through the airport, while you’re boarding the plane and during your flight. How do I book a UK short-haul holiday?

The first step in the booking process is speaking to a Limitless Travel Advisor on 0800 711 7112. While many Limitless Travellers contact us knowing exactly which short-haul holiday they want to book, many also call us for advice. We often help our travellers pick out the perfect holiday based on their needs and interests. So don’t hesitate to get in touch, even if you’re not sure which holiday to book yet.

When you’re ready to book, you’ll pay a deposit to confirm your place. The remainder of the balance is payable closer to the departure date. Flexible payment plans are available, allowing you to spread the cost of your holiday.

You will also discuss your holiday and needs with your Personal Travel Advisor to ensure you have the best possible care package and everything has been considered. Finally, the Limitless Care Team will contact you three months before departure to confirm you have all you need, are happy with arrangements, and are ready for your Limitless holiday.

Are flights included in the cost of a Limitless short-haul holiday?

No, flights are not included in the cost of your Limitless short-haul holiday. However, we do provide extensive booking support, and your Limitless Personal Travel Advisor is always available to provide information and assist with any matter relating to travel and flights.

How do I book flights for Limitless holidays?

Having booked your Limitless short-haul holiday, we’ll send out flight details approximately three months before the departure date. You are then responsible for booking flights, though assistance and support are always available from your Personal Travel Advisor. You can choose to fly on a different flight to the Limitless Team and your fellow Limitless Travellers, but we will not be able to provide support at the airport or during the flight in this case. We will still arrange an accessible transfer to the hotel for you if you fly independently.

What airports do Limitless fly from and how do I get there?

For short-haul holidays, we aim to have two flight teams – one flying from a London airport and the other flying from an airport further north, typically Birmingham or Manchester. This gives Limitless Travellers greater choice and reduces travel time to and from the airport. The specific airports we use depend on destination, cost, flight availability and departure time. Where possible, we opt for a mid-day flight for your convenience.

Does Limitless liaise with the airport to organise special assistance?

Limitless Travellers are responsible for contacting and organising the special assistance team at the airport. The airport’s special assistance team will help you with check-in, security and boarding, and we recommend using their services if possible. Though the special assistance team will manage most of your airport experience, the Limitless Team will also be on hand to accompany you, provide support and advocate on your behalf.

How do the Limitless Team provide support at the airport and while flying?

The Limitless Team will usually meet you at the airport's special assistance desk, collect and handle luggage, and provide any support necessary. If required, we can schedule regular check-ins during the flight. Our team is highly experienced and regularly accompanies Limitless Travellers on international flights. As such, we're able to make sure your journey is smooth and comfortable, and you feel confident travelling. For Limitless short-haul holidays, we guarantee we'll be there to help whenever you need us.

If you opt for the One-to-One Care package, your carer will meet you at the designated airport and provide dedicated support throughout the airport, flight, transfer and holiday.

How do we transfer from the destination airport to the hotel?

We've arranged accessible transport for the drive from your destination airport to the hotel, so you don't have to worry about transfers at all. We use transfer vehicles that have been vetted to ensure accessibility and are equipped with a ramp or hydraulic lift.
