Is the sea rough on a Mediterranean cruise?

The Mediterranean Sea is generally known for its calm waters, especially during the peak cruising seasons. While sea conditions can vary, Mediterranean cruises are largely characterised by smooth sailing, thanks to the sea's relatively sheltered nature compared to open ocean voyages.

However, like any large body of water, it can occasionally experience rough conditions, particularly during the off-season months. Passengers are rarely inconvenienced by severe weather, making Mediterranean cruises a popular choice for those seeking a more relaxed and comfortable sea travel experience.
