With our Bangkok & Beaches Tour, you'll have the opportunity to explore every aspect of the country's fascinating history and culture, while also enjoying plenty of time to relax and unwind. You'll sample fresh and aromatic Thai cuisine - then learn to cook it yourself - visit Damnoen Saduak's remarkable floating markets, explore the elegant grandeur of the Thai Royal Family's Grand Palace, and get up close with one of the largest creatures on the planet at an elephant sanctuary.

Landing in Bangkok, we'll spend the first five days of your holiday discovering the Thai capital and the surrounding area. An intense and exhilarating city in which glass-faced skyscrapers tower over traditional shrines lined with golden buddhas, Bangkok boasts some of the finest food in Southeast Asia, as well as a host of world-class museums and more than a few shopping opportunities.

For the second half of the holiday, we'll transfer to the beautiful beach resort of Khao Lak. After the sizzling energy of Bangkok, now's the time to take it easy, make the most of the spectacular beaches and enjoy a little slice of tropical paradise.

Day 1 - Travel and Settling In

The adventure begins! A warm welcome awaits at the airport, where you’ll be met by your Tour Manager, the rest of the Limitless Team and your new travel companions. We’ll fly as a group and our travel representatives will be on-hand throughout the journey to provide you with any assistance you may need. On arrival, we’ll board our fully accessible transport to transfer to your Bangkok hotel.

Day 2 - Bustling Bangkok

The first full day of your holiday is all about discovering the beautiful, bustling Thai capital. Renowned for its non-stop city streets, unique culture and fantastic street food, Bangkok is one of the most intriguing and exciting cities on the planet and the perfect place to begin your holiday. Today, we’ll take a fully-accessible tour around the city, visiting some of its most famous landmarks, including the official residence of the Thai Royal Family - the opulent Grand Palace. In the evening, we’ll board an accessible boat to cruise the Chao Phraya River, see the city skyline from the water, dine on delicious local cuisine and enjoy authentic Thai entertainment.

Day 3 - Discover the Ayutthaya Temples

Having visited the Royal Family’s residence on Day Two, today includes a trip to their luxurious summer retreat, Bang Pa-in Palace. We’ll tour the complex, working our way around the golden spires, placid waters and elegant architecture of one of Thailand’s most popular attractions. In the afternoon, we’ll travel to Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that contains the ruins of one of Thailand’s most important historical cities. A precursor to modern Thailand, the Ayutthaya Kingdom represents a ‘Golden Age’ in Thai history. Though the kingdom collapsed in the 18th Century, it left behind the temple and palace ruins as a reminder of its remarkable influence. A must-see for anyone interested in Thai history and culture!

Day 4 - Tour the Floating Markets

Day Four begins with a visit to one of Thailand’s famous floating markets. We’ll tour Damnoene Saduak, the biggest floating market in the country, getting a true taste of life on the water and enjoying the smells, sights and vibrant atmosphere of this unique means of shopping. Afterwards, we’ll browse the stores at Sook Siam, an expansive market that showcases the cultural and artistic heritage of each of Thailand’s 77 provinces. A great opportunity to grab some souvenirs, Sook Siam is also well-known for its excellent street food - so make sure you’re ready to tuck into some mouth-watering Thai treats.

Day 5 - Visit an Elephant Sanctuary

Representing strength, loyalty and longevity, the elephant holds a special place in Thai culture. Today, we’ll visit an ethical elephant sanctuary, allowing you to get up close and personal with these incredible creatures. With the help of the sanctuary’s knowledgeable guides, we’ll learn all there is to know about this intelligent animal, including the threats they face and the important work being done to protect them.

Day 6 - Bangkok to Khao Lak

Day Six marks the end of our Bangkok adventure and the start of the second half of your Thai holiday. Today, we’ll fly south from the capital to the picture-perfect beach resort of Khao Lak. On arrival, you’ll have time to settle in, relax and explore the resort.

Day 7 - Rest and Relaxation

Following our transfer from Bangkok to the beach, Day Seven is one for taking it easy and enjoying the laid back atmosphere of the beach resort. Boasting a fully accessible beachfront, fantastic views of the coast and two restaurants that specialise in Thai delicacies, it’s the ideal place to grab a cocktail and unwind after the hectic city streets of the capital.

Day 8 - Day trip to Phuket

Beloved for its outstanding natural beauty and idyllic beaches, Phuket is the largest of Thailand’s southern islands. Today, we’ll take a guided tour of the island’s top attractions, stopping at Phang Nga Bay’s gravity-defying rock formations, Phuket’s historic old town and the imposing Big Buddha statue.

Day 9 - Thai Cookery Class

Having sampled plenty of the local cuisine over the last week, Day Seven gives you the opportunity to showcase your own cooking skills and try your hand at whipping up some classic Thai dishes. You’ll be provided with all the equipment, ingredients and support you need to prepare a proper Thai feast, while also learning about the country’s fascinating culinary culture. Of course, all that hard work in the kitchen means you’ll definitely have earned a sunset cocktail on the beach!

Day 10 - Enjoy the Beach

Today, we’ll make the most of the hotel’s sensational beachside location to savour our last full day in paradise. Take a swim in the pool, test out the tranquil ocean waters, or treat yourself to a relaxing Thai massage - the options are endless! Transport and assistance from the Limitless team are also readily available if you’d like to venture out to see a little more of the local area.

Day 11 - Until Next Time

Today, your Thai holiday comes to an end. The Limitless Travel team will be there to help you check-out and board the accessible airport transfer vehicle, then we’ll fly home together. The team will be with you until we touch down back in the UK, where we will bid you farewell. Until next time!

Half board: breakfast and evening meals are included in the price of your holiday. Look forward to fresh and delicious meals to both begin and round off the day. Meal selection will vary depending on where you’re staying. For breakfast you can expect either table service or a buffet style, with complimentary teas, coffees and juices included. In the evening you’ll be served dinner for every night of your stay. Please note, evening meals are not included for any fly-to tours labelled as ‘Bed and Breakfast’.

On international flights you'll be assisted throughout the journey by the Limitless Team. We'll do our utmost to make sure your travel is as smooth and seamless as possible. We also take care of all transport during your holiday to ensure a comfortable journey throughout. All vehicles are fitted with either a ramp or hydraulic lift for easy access.
