Check-In & Boarding Your holiday begins! Whether you’ve made use of the complimentary parking or a Limitless transfer, our team will be there to help you check in your bags and board the ship. Those guests staying in an accessible cabin will also benefit from Priority Embarkation. We know check-in and boarding can be a nervous experience for some travellers, so Limitless assists with every aspect. You can learn about our check in and boarding support in greater detail in our FAQs.
Once aboard the cruise ship, you’ll have a chance to settle into your cabin, explore the ship, and meet your fellow Limitless Travellers. The Limitless Care Team is always available to provide support and ensure your holiday gets off to the best possible start.
Exploring the Britannia Your first day at sea is all about exploring the ship and settling in. Typically, the Limitless Team meets with everyone in the morning to catch up over breakfast, make sure you had a comfortable night, discuss the day ahead, and plan activities. We often lunch and dine as a group as well, so you’re never short of company.
During days at sea, there’s plenty to see and do on the Britannia. As a group, Limitless Travellers often enjoy a relaxed morning, followed by a group lunch and some afternoon fun - be it a theatre show or a movie. Then it’s time to get dressed up for a delicious dinner, followed by some fantastic evening entertainment. Of course, how you spend your day is entirely up to you! But it’s good to know that the Limitless Team and your fellow travellers are always around too.
Onboard Entertainment There’s never a dull moment on the Britannia. From full-blown musical spectaculars to brilliant magic shows, the on-board entertainment is one of the ship’s biggest draws. We recommend checking out the incredibly popular interactive gameshow, Wavelength, and catching a performance by the always-excellent Headliners Theatre Company, too.
Of course, there’s also plenty of live music to enjoy, as well as stand-up comedy and cabaret performances. If you want a little dinnertime entertainment, the Limelight Club, Live Lounge and Crow’s Nest all put on mealtime performances to remember.
Port Visit The oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Europe, an intriguing blend of Hispanic and Arabic influences, and one of the most unique and enjoyable city cultures in Spain, Cádiz is an unforgettable destination. While the locals are known for their wit, humour and relaxed approach to life, the streets are famed for their blissful, sun-swept beauty.
On arriving in Cádiz, we recommend heading to the Plaza de San Juan de Dios, one of the city’s main squares and the perfect place to get to grips with its complex history. An 18th-century masterpiece that mixes architectural styles, Cádiz’s cathedral is accessible via a wheelchair ramp and is certainly worth a visit. As is the seafront promenade, with its endless photo opportunities, historic fortifications and excellent botanical gardens.
Pools & Spa If you enjoy a dip, you’re in for a treat - the Britannia is equipped with four pools, with hoists available if required. We recommend speaking to your Tour Manager early in the day if you plan to go for a swim, and they can help arrange everything.
The Britannia is also great for those who love a little pampering. Wellness facilities include The Retreat VIP alfresco spa terrace, an indoor spa area that offers a range of treatments, a thermal suite and barber and salon services. There’s even a gym if you fancy a little holiday workout.
Port Visit Mallorca’s thriving capital is the jewel in the island’s crown - a vibrant, enchanting city that captures the imagination with its gorgeous honey-stoned walls and bustling streets. Combining Roman, Moorish, and Catalan history and influences, it’s now home to an endless array of fabulous restaurants, bars, galleries and boutiques.
As the ship docks a short distance from the centre, Limitless Travellers will catch an accessible shuttle into the city. The breathtaking Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma is a Gothic masterpiece and features work from the iconic Catalan architect, Gaudí, while the Modern Art Museum is also world-famous. Both are accessible. If you just want to soak up the Balearic atmosphere and stroll the streets, the central plaza or beautiful marina are excellent options.
Restaurants & Bars Dining on the Britannia is a real treat, with something to suit every taste. You’ll find a wide range of restaurants, from elegant fine dining to relaxed buffet options. For a special evening, try the delicious dishes at The Epicurean or the Indian-fusion flavours at Sindhu. Both offer incredible food in stylish settings.
If you're after something more casual, head to the Horizon buffet for round-the-clock meals, or grab a quick bite at the Grab & Go or poolside pizzerias. And don’t miss out on afternoon tea, served with classic British flair. Whether you're looking for a laid-back lunch or a fancy night out, Britannia has you covered.
Port Visit There are few better ways to arrive at the spectacular Sardinian capital than by boat, so Limitless Travellers are in for a treat. Historic and atmospheric, the Carthaginians, Romans, Byzantines, Spanish Habsburgs and Italians have all left their mark on the city. Today, it is a thriving, modern city with a lot to see and plenty of mouthwatering Sardinian cuisine to enjoy.
Cagliari can be quite hilly, so mobility equipment will help Limitless Travellers get the most from their time onshore. The MUTSEU (Museo del Tesoro e Area Archeologica di Sant'Eulalia) offers an insight into the city’s archaeological past and features many fascinating Roman exhibits, including an authentic Roman road. The Cathedral of Santa Maria di Castello is also a popular attraction. Both are accessible.
Onboard Activities & Classes On the Britannia, P&O has ensured you’re never short of onboard activities and opportunities. Whether you want to try your hand at life drawing, learn the art of calligraphy, or attend a gin-tasting class, you’ll find there’s something to do and see on every Britannia cruise.
The ship also attracts fascinating keynote speakers who deliver engaging talks on everything from historic art heists to personal tales of life as a celebrity. The Britannia Uncovered Tour takes you behind the scenes to learn about the day-to-day running of the ship and the Cookery Club ensures you return home having enriched your kitchen skills. In addition to card games and pub quizzes, there is a range of deck activities to enjoy, including table tennis, shuffleboard, and giant chess.
Port Visit Most famous for its legendary nightlife and as Europe’s premier clubbing destination, Ibiza has plenty more to offer besides a night on the town. As the ship docks close to Ibiza town, it offers easy access to the island’s relaxed capital, with its fascinating history and excellent restaurants.
While the town’s upper streets are often steep and cobbled, there are a lot of accessible sites to visit in the Old Quarter, including the Gothic Catalan cathedral, Museu d'Art Contemporani and the Portal de ses Taules - the main entrance into the old town. The lower streets are packed with trendy boutiques and relaxed bars, cafes and restaurants, too. Alternatively, if you prefer a relaxed day on the beach, the beautiful Playa de Talamanca is a 20-minute walk from the port.
Port Visit One of Spain’s most historic cities, Cartagena’s natural harbour means it has played a pivotal role in the Mediterranean for thousands of years. While the Phoenicians used it for trade, the Romans made it central to their conquest of the Iberian Peninsula. And this history is fantastically preserved throughout the city.
The Limitless group typically visits the impressive Roman Amphitheatre to get a real feel for the city’s ancient past. Much of the amphitheatre museum is wheelchair accessible, and tour headphones are available. Bars, restaurants, and shops line the charming main street and there are fragments of Roman history wherever you look, so exploring Cartagena’s streets is always an exciting proposition.
Port Visit Dominated by the towering Rock of Gibraltar, this British Overseas Territory may be tiny (just 6.8 km²), but it has played an outsized role in history thanks to its position guarding the Straits of Gibraltar and entry into the Mediterranean. Today, it’s best known for transplanting British culture to the southern tip of Europe and it’s a fantastic stop if you’re hungry for some good fish and chips.
Gibraltar packs a lot into a small space and tends to be busy, so the Limitless group often walks the 10 minutes to the top of town and then explores the local streets. A little slice of the UK in southern Spain, you’ll see plenty of famous British sights and symbols - from red phone boxes to high street brands - and have the opportunity to enjoy some heavily discounted tax-free shopping.
Boutiques & Art Gallery The Britannia boasts several shops where you’ll find great deals on luxury items like cosmetics, perfume, jewellery, gifts, clothes and accessories. They stock products from some of the most respected brands on the market, making it easy to while away a morning browsing the ship’s boutiques for a fantastic holiday memento.
For those who enjoy a little culture, the on-board Clarendon Fine Art gallery is certainly worth a visit. There, you’ll find a host of paintings, collectables and other artworks that are sure to delight. You may even end up taking one home with you!
Sailing Home By now, you will have spent a few days exploring the Britannia and enjoying the facilities, activities and entertainment. But we guarantee there are still things you’re yet to see, do or find. Have you checked out the onboard art gallery? Eaten at all the restaurants? Taken part in the ever-popular interactive quiz show?
As we make our way back to Southampton, this is a great opportunity to check out those parts of the ship you’re yet to see or return to your favourite spots. Have a chat with your Tour Manager in the morning and organise the perfect day.
See You Next Time Following your final breakfast aboard the ship, the Limitless team will assist with check-out. The ship’s crew will take down your bags, and we’ll help you disembark, make sure you reach your pick-up, and say our farewells. Your transfer will then get you home, dropping you off at your front door.
We can’t wait to see you on your next Limitless holiday!

How does Limitless assist with check in and boarding?
Having met the Limitless Team at the port, we'll accompany you to the special assistance check-in. As it's separate from regular check-in, there are no crowds or lengthy queues.
You'll then be given a boarding time. Usually, we board as a group. However, if this isn't possible and you would like the assistance, we ensure a carer accompanies you onto the ship.
We board via the accessible gangway. This ramp connects the ship to the port. If you require support or assistance, both the Limitless Team and the ship's crew will be on hand to help. There are also manual wheelchairs available to make this transfer easier.
On some ships, the accessible gangway can be a little steep. In these instances, two crew members will provide support - one in front and one behind. You'll never be rushed and your safety and comfort are always the priorities.
Remember, you don't need to pre-book any special assistance at the port! We provide this assistance as standard with all Limitless cruises.

What are anchor ports and is Limitless responsible for port changes?
At Limitless Travel, we carefully select cruise itineraries with minimal anchor ports. Anchor ports are those destinations where port logistics mean a small boat or ‘tender’ transport is required to ferry guests to shore. In the vast majority of cases, these tenders are not accessible and some Limitless Travellers will not be able to leave the ship.
Unfortunately, port changes can happen due to any number of reasons while at sea. Limitless Travel cannot be held accountable for any such port changes.
