Journey to the Heart of the Med

Your first port of call is Europe’s “Gateway to Africa”, Tangier, followed by the ancient Roman stronghold of Tarragona on the Catalan coast. Then there are visits to Palma de Mallorca for the exemplary Gothic architecture and the gloriously chaotic Sicilian capital, Palermo. A private excursion from La Goulette to the ancient ruins of Carthage precedes a breathtaking on-water approach to Cagliaria, and the cruise culminates in two of Andalucia’s most fascinating cities, Málaga & Cádiz.

An Art Deco-inspired marvel, the Queen Elizabeth evokes the golden age of cruising with its elegantly refined style. Ideal for passengers who embrace the romance, history and heritage of ocean cruising but desire all the comforts and amenities of a modern vessel, its accessible staterooms, tantalising dining venues, jaw-dropping theatrical performances, and live music make for an unforgettable cruise.

Home Pick-Up & Boarding

Your holiday begins! Whether you’ve made use of the complimentary parking or the complementary Limitless accessible taxi transfer, our team will be there to help you check in your bags and board the ship. Those guests staying in an accessible cabin will also benefit from Priority Embarkation. We know check-in and boarding can be a nervous experience for some travellers, so Limitless assists with every aspect. You can learn about our check in and boarding support in greater detail in our FAQs.

Once aboard the cruise ship, you’ll have a chance to settle into your cabin, explore the ship, and meet your fellow Limitless Travellers. The Limitless Care Team is always available to provide support and ensure your holiday gets off to the best possible start.

Day 2 At Sea
Limitless Staff on a Cruise ship
Exploring the Queen Elizabeth

Your first day at sea is all about exploring the ship and settling in. Typically, the Limitless Team meets with everyone in the morning to catch up over breakfast, make sure you had a comfortable night, discuss the day ahead, and plan activities. We often lunch and dine as a group as well, so you’re never short of company.

During days at sea, there’s plenty to see and do on the Queen Elizabeth. As a group, Limitless Travellers often enjoy a relaxed morning, followed by a group lunch and some afternoon fun - be it a theatre show or a musical performance. Then it’s time to get dressed up for a delicious dinner, followed by some fantastic evening entertainment. Of course, how you spend your day is entirely up to you! But it’s good to know that the Limitless Team and your fellow travellers are always around too.

Day 3 At Sea
Cunard Queen Elizabeth Mareel Spa
Pools & Spa

The Queen Elizabeth boasts two outdoor pools and an indoor hydrotherapy pool in the Mareel Spa. While the Pavilion Pool is the larger of the two outdoor pools and is surrounded by loungers and other seating areas, the Lido pool is located beside the bar and grill, so poolside snacks and refreshments are always within easy reach. The ship is also equipped with hoist equipment.

The Mareel Wellness & Beauty Spa offers total relaxation and a wide range of treatments to help you unwind. From refreshing body scrubs to rejuvenating massages, you can book yourself in for some extra special “me time” whenever the fancy takes you. It’s also where you’ll find sauna and steam room facilities, as well as the peaceful hydrotherapy pool.

Day 4 Tangier, Morocco
Tangier Morocco lan
Tangier

Port Visit
Often described as Europe's "Gateway to Africa" and long a destination for travellers crossing the Mediterranean, Tangier is arguably Morocco’s most diverse and liberal city. Wonderfully historical and romantic, its incredible history and status as an International Zone from 1925 - 1956 makes it entirely unique among Morocco’s major urban centres.

As Tangier is an old city with many cobbled streets, we recommend arranging mobility equipment to make the most of your time on land. As a group, Limitless Travellers often enjoy a relaxed walk around the city’s major attractions, including the Kasbah, several open-air markets and the medina. For those yet to experience the madness of Moroccan markets, Tangier is the best place to begin, as it’s a slightly more relaxed experience.

Day 5 At Sea
Cunard Queen Elizabeth Queens Room
Onboard Entertainment

The Queen Elizabeth’s exquisite venues hark back to a bygone age of fantastic on-sea entertainment. The 800-seat Royal Theatre is finished in majestic blue, boasts plush boxes for hire and hosts unforgettable West End shows, hair-raising musical talents, and fascinating guest speakers. The ever-popular Queen’s Room features a glamorous ballroom space and surrounding seating, from which you can enjoy nightly live music and dance classes.

The Commodore Club’s panoramic ocean views and intimate atmosphere make for the ideal environment in which to enjoy live piano, while the Golden Lion offers a more relaxed, pub-themed space where you can dance the night away to great singers and bands. Of course, you’ll also find live performers in the Grand Lobby, setting the mood for the night ahead.

Day 6 Tarragona, Spain
Tarragona spain roman ruins
Port Visit

One of Catalonia’s southernmost cities, Tarragona is renowned for its remarkably well-preserved Roman history, excellent seafood and Mediterranean beauty. A significant Roman settlement that was fortified against the Carthaginian threat, the city’s ancient amphitheatre, defensive walls and Roman circus comprise a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site.

On your visit to Tarragona, the group can visit several of these historical attractions, including the amphitheatre, Circ Roma and Muralla Romana, all of which are partially accessible. We’ll also explore the striking cathedral and head to Rambla Nova, Tarragona's bustling, tree-lined promenade. With Barcelona just an hour’s drive north, Limitless Travellers can also book a private excursion to the Catalan capital with the cruise operator.

Day 7 Palma, Mallorca
Palma de Mallorca Street
Limitless Private Excursion

Mallorca’s thriving capital is the jewel in the island’s crown – a vibrant, enchanting city that captures the imagination with its gorgeous honey-stoned walls and bustling streets. Combining Roman, Moorish, and Catalan history and influences, it’s now home to an endless array of fabulous restaurants, bars, galleries and boutiques.

As the ship docks a short distance from the centre, Limitless Travellers will catch an accessible shuttle into the city. From there, you can join the Tour Manager’s accessible walking tour and visit the beautiful waterfront Parc de la Mar, before heading into the breathtaking Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma. A Gothic masterpiece featuring work by the iconic Catalan architect Gaudí, entry is included in the price of your holiday. We will then explore some of the city’s most atmospheric sights and streets, including the Royal Palace, Plaça de Cort, and Passeig del Born. If your visit falls on a Sunday, when the cathedral is closed, we offer an optional visit to Es Baluard, Palma’s fantastic accessible contemporary arts museum.

Day 8 At Sea
Cunard Queen Elizabeth Wellness cafe
Restaurants & Bars

Whether you’re fond of your fish and chips or love sampling global delicacies, the Queen Elizabeth offers a mouth-watering array of dining options to suit all tastes. As with all Cunard ships, passengers are assigned a main dining room based on their stateroom. All offer fantastic service, diverse menus and delicious food.

The main dining rooms are supplemented by a range of casual options, including the health-focused Pavilion Wellness Café, the Carinthia Lounge, and Lido and Kings Court. For a truly memorable dining experience, the speciality restaurants offer stand-out fare from around the world. Top of the list is sampling the exquisite menu at the ever-popular Steakhouse at the Verandah.

Day 9 Palermo, Sicily
Palermo, Sicily Cathedral
Port Visit

Perfectly positioned at the heart of the Mediterranean and a truly ancient city, Palermo captivates and enchants like no other. From its raucous streets and bustling markets to its incredible Arab-Norman architecture, this is a city that delights, inspires and surprises at every turn. It also happens to be Europe’s street food capital.

During your visit, the Limitless Group will head along the promenade toward the Foro Italico Waterfront Gardens. We’ll then pass through the Porta Felice - a grand stone gateway and historic entrance to the city - and stroll or roll up the Via Vittorio Emanuele, Palermo’s most historic avenue and the flattest route into the city centre. Via Vittorio also culminates at the Piazza della Cattedrale, where the city’s spectacular, iconic cathedral stands proud.

Day 10 La Goulette, Tunisia
La Goulette, archeological site of carthage
Limitless Private Excursion

Situated at the country’s northern tip, La Goulette is the principal access point for the capital, Tunis. It’s also a popular destination for those looking to visit the ruins of one of the most influential cities of the ancient world - Carthage. Founded by the Phoenicians, the city was Rome’s main rival in the Mediterranean and the birthplace of Hannibal, whose war elephants famously crossed the Alps.

Today, your Limitless-exclusive excursion will see you explore the well-preserved ruins of this historic city. Accompanied by a guide, you’ll visit several spots across the sprawling site that have been hand-picked for their superior accessibility. For history fans, this is a bucket list excursion and a truly exciting opportunity to experience the magic of the ancient world first-hand.

Please note - awareness of accessibility concerns in Tunisia differs from that in the UK. Some pathways and public areas may be uneven or not fully wheelchair-friendly. However, the Limitless team will be on hand throughout to assist whenever needed.

Day 11 Cagliari, Sardinia
cagliari sardinia landscape image
Port Visit

There are few better ways to arrive at the spectacular Sardinian capital than by boat, so Limitless Travellers are in for a treat. Historic and atmospheric, the Carthaginians, Romans, Byzantines, Spanish Habsburgs and Italians have all left their mark on the city. Today, it is a thriving, modern city with a lot to see and plenty of mouthwatering Sardinian cuisine to enjoy.

Cagliari can be quite hilly, so mobility equipment will help Limitless Travellers get the most from their time onshore. The MUTSEU (Museo del Tesoro e Area Archeologica di Sant'Eulalia) offers an insight into the city’s archaeological past and features many fascinating Roman exhibits, including an authentic Roman road. The Cathedral of Santa Maria di Castello is also a popular attraction. Both are accessible.

Day 12 At Sea
Cunard Queen Elizabeth Art class
Onboard Activities & Classes

Cunard offers an extraordinary array of onboard activities and classes for those passengers looking to expand their horizons and try something new. These include painting or photography workshops designed for all levels and abilities, as well as mixology classes for anyone who fancies trying their hand at cocktail-making.

The Cunard Insights program brings a whole host of inspiring, informative and entertaining guest speakers to the Queen Elizabeth. Whether you’re attending a talk from a highly successful Olympic athlete, listening to a polar explorer recount expeditions in the Arctic tundra, or learning more about the origins of one of your cruise destinations from a renowned historian, Cunard Insights never fails to fascinate.

Day 13 Málaga, Spain
Malaga, spain beach image
Port Visit

While much of Andalucía has a reputation for being relaxed and laid back, that’s certainly not true of Málaga. Youthful, exciting and always moving, the city is modern Spain at its most alive. Great food, a thriving art scene and plenty of cultural attractions ensure it’s a wonderful city to visit. The fantastic climate doesn’t hurt either.

In Málaga, Limitless Travellers can explore the city’s beautiful waterfront. With plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes, it’s a great place to grab some lunch and watch the world and Los Boquerones (an affectionate nickname for the locals that comes from the city’s most iconic dish - salted anchovies) go by. A little further afield, the excellent Picasso Museum is accessible and certainly worth a visit.

Day 14 Cádiz, Spain
Cadiz in Spain landscape image
Cadiz
Port Visit

The oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Europe, an intriguing blend of Hispanic and Arabic influences, and one of the most unique and enjoyable city cultures in Spain, Cádiz is an unforgettable destination. While the locals are known for their wit, humour and relaxed approach to life, the streets are famed for their blissful, sun-swept beauty.

On arriving in Cádiz, we recommend heading to the Plaza de San Juan de Dios, one of the city’s main squares and the perfect place to get to grips with its complex history. An 18th-century masterpiece that mixes architectural styles, Cádiz’s cathedral is accessible via a wheelchair ramp and is certainly worth a visit. As is the seafront promenade, with its endless photo opportunities, historic fortifications and excellent botanical gardens.

Day 15 At Sea
Cunard Queen Elizabeth Retail shopping
Boutiques & Art Gallery

For those Limitless Travellers who enjoy a little onboard shopping, the Queen Elizabeth is second to none. The ship’s fantastic boutiques are largely centred on the elegant Royal Arcade, where you’ll find products from some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Clogau. You’ll also be able to take advantage of some fantastic duty-free savings and take home a piece of holiday memorabilia by shopping the Cunard Signature Collection.

For art enthusiasts, the onboard Clarendon Art Gallery is the place to be, with paintings, sculptures and prints by artists from around the world. Of course, if a particular piece takes your fancy, the gallery assistants can arrange fully insured delivery to your home address.

How does Limitless assist with check in and boarding?

Having met the Limitless Team at the port, we'll accompany you to the special assistance check-in. As it's separate from regular check-in, there are no crowds or lengthy queues.

You'll then be given a boarding time. Usually, we board as a group. However, if this isn't possible and you would like the assistance, we ensure a carer accompanies you onto the ship.

We board via the accessible gangway. This ramp connects the ship to the port. If you require support or assistance, both the Limitless Team and the ship's crew will be on hand to help. There are also manual wheelchairs available to make this transfer easier.

On some ships, the accessible gangway can be a little steep. In these instances, two crew members will provide support - one in front and one behind. You'll never be rushed and your safety and comfort are always the priorities.

Remember, you don't need to pre-book any special assistance at the port! We provide this assistance as standard with all Limitless cruises.

What is Limitless Group Support & Holiday Assistance?

What are anchor ports and is Limitless responsible for port changes?

At Limitless Travel, we carefully select cruise itineraries with minimal anchor ports. Anchor ports are those destinations where port logistics mean a small boat or ‘tender’ transport is required to ferry guests to shore. In the vast majority of cases, these tenders are not accessible and some Limitless Travellers will not be able to leave the ship.

Unfortunately, port changes can happen due to any number of reasons while at sea. Limitless Travel cannot be held accountable for any such port changes.
