Holiday Overview

From the northern shores of Spain to legendary Casablanca

Head for sunnier climes of Spain and Morocco aboard the spectacular Queen Anne cruise ship and visit several historic and culturally significant cities along the way. From sampling delicious seafood in northern Spain to exploring the bustling medinas of Morocco, this is a care-supported holiday you’ll always remember.

Heading south from Southampton, your first port of call is the charming city of Ferrol, where Spain’s unique Galician regional culture is expressed in a rich maritime history and excellent tapas. Next, it’s on to the vibrant Moroccan city of Agadir, with its famous Kasbah and enormous Souk. A stop in the country’s largest city, Casablanca, lets you relive Bogart and Bergman’s most iconic scenes, while Tangier is a great destination for foodies. Finally, ancient Cádiz is the perfect destination for history lovers who want to experience Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited city.

Day 2 - Settling in at Sea

< >

Your first day at sea is all about exploring the ship and settling in. Typically, the Limitless Team meets with everyone in the morning to catch up over breakfast, make sure you had a comfortable night, discuss the day ahead, and plan activities. We often lunch and dine as a group as well, so you’re never short of company.

During days at sea, there’s plenty to see and do on the Queen Anne. As a group, Limitless travellers often enjoy a relaxed morning, followed by a group lunch and some afternoon fun - be it a theatre show or a musical performance. Then it’s time to get dressed up for a delicious dinner, followed by some fantastic evening entertainment. Of course, how you spend your day is entirely up to you! But it’s good to know that the Limitless Team and your fellow travellers are always around too.

Ferrol, Spain

Day 3 - Ferrol, Spain

< >

An important port city in the north of Spain, Ferrol has long been associated with the country’s navy and maritime industries. With its delicious seafood (its crabs and scallops are particularly famous) and a wide array of small shops selling souvenirs, crafts and local foods, Ferrol is a fantastic introduction to the regional Galician culture.

On arriving in Ferrol, the Limitless group can enjoy a walking tour of the area close to the water. We typically start by making our way to the accessible Museo Naval to learn more about regional and national maritime history. From there, there’s the opportunity to visit the CTB Art Museum and explore the parks and plazas in the city centre, where you’ll also find several bars and restaurants.

Day 4 - At Sea - Pools and Facilities

< >

If you’re looking to cool off when the Queen Anne reaches warmer weather, Cunard has you covered. The ship is equipped with two traditional swimming pools, one of which is fitted with a hoist. The pools are located in the Panorama Pool Club, an outdoor area with a bar, loungers, and live music and DJs, and the Pavilion Venue, a spectacular venue with a retractable glass dome roof.

The Mareel Wellness and Beauty facilities are the perfect spot for a bit of pampering too. Featuring a cold room, a Himalayan salt sauna, and a thermal pool, it’s a fantastic place to unwind and relax. A variety of wellness treatments, including skincare, cupping and massages. If you’re looking to enjoy the onboard facilities, we recommend talking to your Tour Manager to ensure accessibility.

Day 5 - At Sea - Entertainment

< >

When it comes to entertainment, the Queen Anne has it all. From live music to theatre shows and cabaret, you’ll enjoy an ever-changing lineup of performers to thrill and captivate you. The Brights Light Society is an exciting collaboration with RWS Global and puts on a range of interactive shows, including interactive cinematic productions and variety performances. The Queens Room is renowned for its Cunard Signature Afternoon Tea and live music in the evening.

However, the two most prestigious venues aboard the Queen Anne are arguably the Royal Court Theatre and the Pavilion. While the former brings West End productions and fascinating Cunard Insights talks to the high seas, the latter features a retractable glass dome roof and shows alfresco movies in partnership with the BFI.

Agadir Morocca

Day 6 - Agadir, Morocco

< >

Home to one of the finest beachfront promenades in Morocco, Agadir is a great place to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the country’s famous souks. Largely levelled by a devastating earthquake in the 1960s, the city was rebuilt from scratch and has slowly become a popular destination among visitors seeking sun, sea and sand.

With the port a fair distance from the city centre, Limitless groups tend to catch the shuttle buses into town. From there, we often head to the accessible cable cars that climb up to the Kasbah, from which the views of the city and surrounding bay are remarkable. Then, it’s onto the sprawling souk to browse the stalls in what is one of Morocco’s largest markets. Travellers can also visit the excellent beach and marina.

Day 7 - Casablanca, Morocco

< >

Immortalised in Bogart and Bergman’s iconic movie, Casablanca is the country’s largest city and the epitome of modern Morocco. With its skyline dominated by the imposing minaret of the Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca's contemporary feel hides a long and rich history that is perhaps best articulated by its authentic medina.

For Limitless groups, the first stop is the Hassan II Mosque. Positioned on the waterfront, this impressive building is the city’s main mosque and biggest attraction. From there, the marina is approximately 20 minutes away on foot and is a great place to purchase a few holiday mementoes. Finally, the lively marina area features a shopping centre, bars and restaurants and is a brilliant option if you’re looking to sample the local cuisine or enjoy a refreshing beverage.

Tangier Morocco
Tangier

Day 8 - Tangier, Morocco

< >

Often described as the gateway to Africa and long a destination for travellers crossing the Mediterranean from Europe, Tangier is arguably Morocco’s most diverse and liberal city. Wonderfully historical and romantic, its incredible history and status as an International Zone from 1925 - 1956 makes it entirely unique among Morocco’s major urban centres.

As Tangier is an old city with many cobbled streets, we recommend arranging mobility equipment to make the most of your time on land. As a group, Limitless travellers often enjoy a relaxed walk around the city’s major attractions, including the Kasbah, several open-air markets and the medina. For those yet to experience the madness of Moroccan markets, Tangier is the best place to begin, as it’s a slightly more relaxed experience.

Cadiz
Cadiz

Day 9 - Cádiz, Spain

< >

The oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Europe, an intriguing blend of Hispanic and Arabic influences, and one of the most unique and enjoyable city cultures in Spain, Cádiz is an unforgettable destination. While the locals are known for their wit, humour and relaxed approach to life, the streets are famed for their blissful, sun-swept beauty.

On arriving in Cádiz, we recommend heading to the Plaza de San Juan de Dios, one of the city’s main squares and the perfect place to get to grips with its complex history. An 18th-century masterpiece that mixes architectural styles, Cádiz’s cathedral is accessible via a wheelchair ramp and is certainly worth a visit. As is the seafront promenade, with its endless photo opportunities, historic fortifications and excellent botanical gardens. While some city streets are cobbled, they are relatively smooth as cobbles go, and do not usually pose too much of a problem for wheelchair users. On the whole, Cádiz is wonderfully accessible and a joy to explore.

Day 10 - At Sea - Restaurants and Bars

< >

With 31 restaurants, bars and lounges, you’re spoiled for choice aboard the Queen Anne. Finished in a range of styles to ensure there’s something for every kind of taste, the ship’s lounges include the nautically-themed Chart Room, the refined Carinthia Lounge, and a traditional British Pub, among others.

When it comes to mealtimes, you have a world of choice on the Queen Anne. While Cunard’s famous White Star Service is available at the Britannia restaurant, you can also choose from an array of other options, including the Mediterranean-inspired Tramonto, the Japanese flavours of Aji Wa, and India’s diverse and delicious cuisine in Aranya. With so much to choose from, you’re in for a treat!

Day 11 - Sailing Home

< >

By now, you will have spent a few days exploring the Queen Anne and enjoying the facilities, activities and entertainment. But we guarantee there are still things you’re yet to see, do or find. Have you visited the onboard library? Tasted the tempura at the Japanese-inspired Aji Wa restaurant? Expanded your horizons at one of the Queen Anne’s award-winning Cunard Insights talks?

As we make our way back to Southampton, this is a great opportunity to check out those parts of the Queen Anne you’re yet to see or return to your favourite spots. Or just relax in total comfort and reminisce about the places you’ve seen over the course of your holiday. Have a chat with your Tour Manager in the morning and organise the perfect final day.

How does Limitless assist with check in and boarding?

Having met the Limitless Team at the port, we'll accompany you to the special assistance check-in. As it's separate from regular check-in, there are no crowds or lengthy queues.

You'll then be given a boarding time. Usually, we board as a group. However, if this isn't possible and you would like the assistance, we ensure a carer accompanies you onto the ship.

We board via the accessible gangway. This ramp connects the ship to the port. If you require support or assistance, both the Limitless Team and the ship's crew will be on hand to help. There are also manual wheelchairs available to make this transfer easier.

On some ships, the accessible gangway can be a little steep. In these instances, two crew members will provide support - one in front and one behind. You'll never be rushed and your safety and comfort are always the priorities.

Remember, you don't need to pre-book any special assistance at the port! We provide this assistance as standard with all Limitless cruises.
