Day 2: Discover SS Great Britain

< >

Today's itinerary includes a visit to the SS Great Britain, an exceptional museum and pioneering passenger steamship designed by the visionary Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It held the title of the world's largest passenger ship from 1845 to 1854.

Following our exploration, we'll pause for lunch and spend the afternoon immersing ourselves in the dockyard's vibrant atmosphere, where numerous independent shops and galleries beckon. In the evening, we'll return to the hotel for a delectable evening meal, followed by entertainment provided by your Tour Manager to round off a wonderful first full day in Somerset.

Day 3: Weston-super-Mare Beach & Cream Tea

< >

Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside! There’s nothing quite like feeling the sea breeze and strolling or rolling down the promenade, so we’re heading to Weston-super-Mare for Day Two of your holiday. With its long stretches of sandy beaches, iconic Grand pier and traditional seaside attractions, this famous coastal resort is the perfect place to spend a day in the sun. While you’re here, we'll treat you to a traditional cream tea, with clotted cream, scones and fresh jam.

Roman Baths

Day 4: Guided Tour of the Roman Baths

< >

Today we’ll be travelling to Bath to visit the Roman Baths Museum and spend a little time exploring the city. The baths after which the city is named were established just under 2,000 years ago and, despite briefly falling into disrepair, have been wonderfully restored and preserved. The tour benefits from an interesting, interactive and engaging audio guide.

If you’d prefer to pamper yourself, you can also arrange an independent visit to a naturally heated thermal spa. Fully accessible, this open-air spa boasts fantastic views of the city. Please discuss this with your Tour Manager during the trip.
