After boarding the accessible coach at one of our UK meeting points, we’ll begin the journey to South Wales. Wheelchair users can opt to remain in their chair, which will be safely secured in place for the duration of the trip, or transfer to a standard seat. Your 4 star hotel is situated right in the heart of Cardiff Bay. When we arrive our team will help you check-in and get your bags to your room. Then there’s a little time to relax, settle in and enjoy the hotel’s views before indulging in a delicious dinner.
Once you’ve fuelled up on the hotel's hearty breakfast, we’ll head out on a guided coach tour around Cardiff city centre after there will be time to explore Cardiff bay, The Millennium Centre, the modern waterfront and chance to grab some lunch before we head down Roald Dahl way to board an accessible boat from the Bay over to Penarth.
We have the chance to get off the boat to explore Penarth, a tasteful seaside town with a restored Victorian Pier with a long Esplanade making sure you enjoy the views of the Bristol Channel.
Today we’ll visit the Royal Mint. This celebrated institution has been manufacturing coins since 886 AD and its fascinating museum offers an incredible insight into British history. During the visit, you’ll get the opportunity to mint your own coin, participate in a range of other workshops and discover the history of coinage on an accessible tour.
On Day 4 we'll head over to Barry Island, a fun seaside town not far from Cardiff. Enjoy a group fish & chip lunch , and take a stroll along the cliff side to soak up the views. Famous for the BBC Series - Gavin & Stacey, be sure to bring your change for a morning of fun arcades, sea and sand.
On the afternoon we have the chance to visit St Fagans - National Museum of History, visit the gallery for a unique understanding of the Welsh history.
Today, your South Wales tour comes to an end. After breakfast, our accessible coach will depart the hotel for our various UK drop-off locations. Relax, take in the countryside views through the window and enjoy a little commentary from your Tour Manager.
