Welcome to your accessible Canary Islands cruise! Your adventure begins! Home-pick up (within the first 100miles), or pick up at Southampton Central or Airport, or free parking for the duration of the cruise included.
Launched in 2019, Sky Princess ship boasts a dazzling range of modern features, including luxury bars and lounges, spa facilities, several restaurants, four swimming pools, a Broadway-style theatre and a jazz club. You’ll spend the day settling in and exploring your surroundings, before we set sail and strike south, toward our first port stop in Spain.
On your first full day on the water, we’ll make our way south, out of the Celtic Sea and into the Bay of Biscay, where we’ll follow France’s west coast, towards the Iberian Peninsula. It’s the perfect opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers and the ship a little better or to simply sit back and take in the spectacular sea views.
Whether you want to catch a show, dine out on top-notch Italian food or relax and unwind at the revitalising Lotus Spa, there’s plenty to see and do on your days at sea. If you want more information on the Sky Princess’ facilities, don’t hesitate to get in touch with one of our trusted travel advisors.
Land Ahoy! On Day Four of your accessible Canary Islands cruise, we’ll arrive in Vigo, a traditional fishing village that’s never stopped growing and is now home to Europe’s largest fishing fleet. Its historic old town has a maritime feel, which contrasts nicely with the modern facilities in its world-class marina.
Sky Princess will dock at Muelle de Transatlanticos, in the heart of the city. All you have to do is follow the picturesque, palm-tree-lined promenade and you’ll reach the centre. Vigo is famous for its lively tapas bars, so make sure you stop off for some small fish plates and a glass of wine while you’re exploring.
A word of warning though - despite the port allowing for immediate access to Vigo, the city centre is quite hilly in places. If you’re hoping to go for a wander, it’s a good idea to talk with the Limitless Team so as to avoid the worst of the climbs.
On Day Five, we say goodbye to Spain and hello to its long and slender neighbour, Portugal! As we head further south, the weather should improve, the sun will shine a little stronger and the temperatures will rise. After enjoying a casual breakfast in your cabin, you can check out some of the onboard entertainment. From pool-side bands and classical music in the atrium to comedy acts and brilliant bingo fun, there’s plenty you can get involved with.
Of course, the Limitless Team will be on-hand throughout the day to help and support you, coordinate activities and ensure that you have a great day at sea. They’re a fantastic bunch, if we do say so ourselves, so don’t be afraid to ask them for anything you need or spend a bit of time chatting, they love the company!
Next stop Madeira! Today, you’ll experience the wonderful approach to Madeira. Known as both the Island of Eternal Spring and the Pearl of the Atlantic, Madeira more than lives up to its status as Portugal’s most beautiful island.
We’ll dock in the archipelago's capital, Funchal, giving you time to explore the city and discover its considerable charm. As well as taking a stroll through the gorgeous Old Town, make sure you stop at one of the many famous hotels that line the waterfront for a refreshing beverage or bite to eat. We would recommend Reid’s, which regularly hosted Winston Churchill on his visits to the island.
On Day Seven, the ship will make its way to Tenerife, where we’ll dock in the island’s capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. While many Tenerife tourists head straight to the beaches, they’re definitely missing out as Santa Cruz is one of the most vibrant and enjoyable island capitals you’ll ever visit.
There are free shuttles into the city - though it’s only 20 minutes on foot if you would prefer the walk. With an incredible array of street art, first-rate museums and galleries, mouthwatering restaurants and cool, quirky boutiques, the city is a delight to explore and you’ll be spoilt for choice. Make sure to talk to the Limitless Team if you’d like some pointers on what to see and do. With the ship not scheduled to depart Tenerife until 10 pm, you have plenty of time to enjoy spectacular Santa Cruz de Tenerife!
On Day Eight, we’ll arrive in Gran Canaria, the most densely populated of the Canary Islands and possibly the most naturally diverse, too. You’ll get to see a little of the island’s natural beauty as we approach, before the ship docks in the Santa Catalina cruise terminal.
Boasting terrific access to the island’s cool capital, Las Palmas, the terminal is also only 100 metres down the road from Muelle, an extremely popular local shopping complex. If you want to head into the city centre, check out Vegueta, Las Palmas’ trendy old quarter. Prefer the beach? Playa de las Canteras is also within easy reach. You’ll be able to disembark at 8 am and the ship won’t leave until 10 pm, giving you a whole day to experience charming Las Palmas.
Lanzarote is synonymous with a sometimes-alien, always-striking natural beauty. Volcanoes and lava fields define the landscape, impossibly-shaped rocks perch on improbably balanced outposts and black sand beaches compete with traditional, tropical palm-lined coast for your attention. A UNESCO Geopark, the island is a fascinating destination that enchants and enthrals all visitors to its volcanic shores.
Sky Princess will dock in Arrecife, the island’s capital, and you’ll have the entire day to enjoy its sun-washed plazas, cool bars and atmospheric backstreets. If you’re looking for a little bit of local culture, check out the Museo Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo, which features several works from the island’s most influential artist, César Manrique.
As the return leg of your journey begins and we set sail for the UK, it’s the perfect time to make the most of the southern sun and enjoy the ship's pools and outdoor facilities. If you haven’t already, go for a stroll along the SeaWalk - a 60-feet long, glass walkway that extends out over the side of the ship and allows you to look directly down onto the ocean below. It’s quite a feeling!
On Day Eleven, we’ll arrive in Lisbon early in the morning. After sailing under the Golden Gate-esque 25 de Abril Bridge, which is the longest suspension bridge in Europe, we’ll dock and disembark to explore one of the coolest capitals on the continent.
Surrounded by seven hills, the romantic city centre is atmospheric, charismatic and simply a joy to explore. Whether you’re trying traditional bacalhau in a local bar, riding the trams around the city or visiting the iconic Torre de Belém, you’re sure to have an amazing time. The ship docks at 7 am and won't depart until 6 pm, ensuring you have a full day to explore this historic city. Our care team will be there to help you every step of the way.
As we make our way up through the Bay of Biscay, you’ll have another day to enjoy all the ship’s onboard facilities.
With its incredible sets, performances by globe-trotting artists and combination of classic and contemporary programming, the Princess Theatre is a must-visit. If you haven’t had a good soak, massage or steam room session yet, then it’s time to hit the spa.
On your final, full day at sea, take the time to revisit your favourite parts of the ship, make the most of the excellent restaurants and lively bars, and catch up with your fellow Limitless travellers. Today’s a great day to share your favourite memories of the trip over a cocktail or two!
Today, your accessible Canary Island cruise comes to an end. On reaching Southampton, the Limitless Team will help you disembark and transfer to our accessible coach, which will whisk you back off home, to your designated drop-off point. All that’s left to do is say farewell to new friends and plan your next Limitless adventure!
