You can travel comfortably and at your own pace, knowing you’re in safe hands from the moment you leave home. Complimentary parking is also available for guests who prefer to travel to the port independently.

When you arrive at the cruise terminal, you’ll be met by the Limitless team in our famous blue polo shirts. As you get out of the taxi, our team will take over and take care of everything. We’ll unload your luggage, help you check in and support you through the terminal, ensuring you board Queen Victoria comfortably and with confidence.

By the time you reach your accessible cabin, your luggage will be on its way to you and you’ll be introduced to your cabin steward. The Limitless team can help you unpack, settle in and make a cup of tea to enjoy as Queen Victoria sets sail from Southampton.

Once you have settled in, we’ll introduce you to your fellow travellers and help you begin exploring the ship. Today, Queen Victoria makes her maiden call to Ferrol, a historic port city with a long association with the Spanish navy and maritime industries.

The Limitless group will have the opportunity to explore the waterfront and surrounding city centre together. Ferrol’s naval heritage can be discovered through its maritime attractions, while its parks, plazas and shops provide plenty of opportunities to experience everyday Galician life.

Depending on local opening arrangements, you may choose to visit the naval museum or explore the city’s cultural attractions. Ferrol is also known for its seafood, including locally caught crab and scallops, so you could stop at one of the city’s cafés or restaurants for lunch.

Situated on Galicia’s rugged Atlantic coast, Vigo is a welcoming port city with a fascinating maritime history and a reputation for outstanding seafood.

Queen Victoria docks close to the heart of the city, where bars and cafés line the marina. Today’s Limitless-exclusive excursion follows an accessible route from the port towards Praça do Comércio, Portugal’s magnificent waterfront square. Along the way, you’ll experience some of Lisbon’s history, architecture and distinctive character alongside your Tour Manager and fellow Limitless Travellers.

The experience also includes a private wine tasting accompanied by local fish cakes and Lisbon’s legendary pastéis de nata.

Afterwards, there will be time to enjoy more of the surrounding area. You might browse the shops, stop for lunch, explore a nearby historical attraction or simply relax with a coffee and watch the city go by.

Lisbon’s hills and traditional pavements can make some areas more challenging to navigate, but the Limitless team will accompany the group and provide support throughout the experience.

Day 6 At Sea

During the voyage, Cunard will host one of its famous Gala Evenings, giving you the opportunity to dress for the occasion and experience Queen Victoria at her most spectacular.

Spend the day relaxing and preparing for a special evening ahead. You could visit the spa, enjoy a quiet drink in the Winter Garden or simply settle somewhere comfortable and watch the ocean pass by. The Limitless team can provide support with getting ready where this forms part of your agreed care or holiday support arrangements.

That evening, we’ll come together as a group for an elegant dinner before enjoying the Gala Evening atmosphere across the ship. From the Britannia Restaurant and Grand Lobby to the Queens Room, Queen Victoria will be filled with live music, beautifully dressed guests and a wonderful sense of occasion.

For journeys of 125 miles or less, this service is included in the price of your holiday. Additional fees may apply for longer transfers or those travelling from Yorkshire, North East England, or Wales.

FAQs

What’s included in an accessible Cunard Queen Victoria cabin?

Accessible cabins are available on request. However, they are limited and places sell out quickly. Accessible balcony cabins may also be available, though prices will vary. Every accessible cabin features:

  • Wide access doors

  • Space for mobility scooters to be stored

  • Showers with wide door access, pull-down chairs and grip handles

  • Air conditioning

  • Satellite TV with movie and music channels

  • Tea and coffee-making facilities

    An equipment hire service is available and includes powered wheelchairs and hoists.

How does Limitless assist with check in and boarding?

Having met the Limitless Team at the port, we'll accompany you to the special assistance check-in. As it's separate from regular check-in, there are no crowds or lengthy queues.

You'll then be given a boarding time. Usually, we board as a group. However, if this isn't possible and you would like the assistance, we ensure a carer accompanies you onto the ship.

We board via the accessible gangway. This ramp connects the ship to the port. If you require support or assistance, both the Limitless Team and the ship's crew will be on hand to help. There are also manual wheelchairs available to make this transfer easier.

On some ships, the accessible gangway can be a little steep. In these instances, two crew members will provide support - one in front and one behind. You'll never be rushed and your safety and comfort are always the priorities.

Remember, you don't need to pre-book any special assistance at the port! We provide this assistance as standard with all Limitless cruises.

What are anchor ports and is Limitless responsible for port changes?

At Limitless Travel, we carefully select cruise itineraries with minimal anchor ports. Anchor ports are those destinations where port logistics mean a small boat or ‘tender’ transport is required to ferry guests to shore. In the vast majority of cases, these tenders are not accessible and some Limitless Travellers will not be able to leave the ship.

Unfortunately, port changes can happen due to any number of reasons while at sea. Limitless Travel cannot be held accountable for any such port changes.
