Itinerary
Day 1Travel to Plymouth
Plymouth
We’ll meet you at one of our designated UK pick-up points, help you board our accessible coach and ensure you’re comfortable for the journey. All our coaches benefit from hydraulic lift or ramp access, and wheelchairs can be safely secured in place, so there’s no need to transfer to a standard seat. Similarly, all our drivers have experience working with Limitless Travellers and understand and respect individual access needs.
On arrival, the Limitless Team will help you check in. Then, you’ll have time to relax, unwind and explore your accessible room, before enjoying a delicious meal in the hotel restaurant. Your Tour Manager will round out the evening with a little entertainment for those not quite ready to hit the hay.
Learn more about our accessible transport in our FAQs.
Day 2Boat Trip & National Aquarium
Your first full day begins with an accessible boat trip across the historic Plymouth Sound. This hour-long cruise takes you past Plymouth Hoe, Drake’s Island, Mount Edgcumbe and Royal William Yard, before heading up the River Tamar to one of Europe’s largest naval dockyards, where imposing warships and nuclear submarines await.
In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to Plymouth’s National Marine Aquarium for an underwater adventure featuring more than 5,000 animals and a remarkable array of marine habitats. From sharks and octopuses to turtles, rays and lionfish, you’ll have the chance to see some of the most incredible animals on the planet. Then it’s back to the hotel for a delicious dinner and a little evening entertainment.
Day 3Eden Project
Eden Project
Cornwall’s spectacular Eden Project remains one of the UK’s most popular attractions and an incredible example of our ability to regenerate the natural environment. A former clay mine with no soil or vegetation, the site was transformed through the installation of enormous biomes and outdoor gardens, resulting in the creation of one of the world’s largest indoor rainforests and a breathtaking Mediterranean habitat.
Opened in 2000, the Eden Project is a staggering achievement and an extraordinary opportunity to learn about non-native habitats, while exploring issues of sustainability and our relationship to nature. Visitors are regularly astounded by this remarkable feat of architecture and bio-engineering, and the Eden Project regularly ranks among Limitless Travellers’ favourite days out.
Day 4Bodmin Steam Train
Today, we’ll make our way to Bodmin for a memorable ride through the Cornish countryside on an accessible steam train. Originally opened in 1834, the Bodmin & Wadebridge Railway was built to transport minerals and agricultural sea sand, but fell into disrepair with the end of steam-powered travel. Beautifully restored by the Bodmin Railway Preservation Society (BRPS), the line now runs from Bodmin Parkway to Boscarne Junction and offers visitors a unique chance to experience the local area’s considerable natural beauty.
After our scenic steam train journey, the group will head to a charming local café to indulge in a traditional Cornish cream tea. A great way to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures, it’s the perfect end to a phenomenal five-day holiday.
Day 5Breakfast & Travel Home
Today, your Cornwall & South Devon tour comes to an end. After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll board the accessible coach and depart for our various UK drop-off locations. Relax, reminisce with your fellow Limitless Travellers and take in the views. We’ll ensure you’re comfortable for the return journey and look forward to seeing you on your next Limitless holiday!
