On your tour, you'll visit Haugesund, once the homeland of the mighty Viking kings who ruled Europe from the 8th to the 11th centuries. You'll also explore Alesund, renowned for its stunning Art Nouveau architecture and breathtaking natural landscapes. Before reaching Stavanger, famous for its historic wooden city centre.

Today your adventure begins! Either join our transfer to the cruise port or park your car in the complimentary parking; before we board P&O's Britannia. With its maiden voyage in 2015 the Britannia is a much loved ship with all the amenities you would expect from P&O. With 13 guest decks its also one of the smaller ships making the experience more intimate whilst never sacrificing the facilities.

Our care team will help you check-in your bags, after which they’ll be taken directly to your room. If you’re staying in an accessible cabin, you also benefit from Priority Embarkation.

Day 2: Sailing North

Today you will be making your way to the North as you journey around the UK coast and set sail for the North sea. After enjoying a hearty breakfast today is the perfect time to explore the ship and check out all the Britannia has to offer. Keep an eye out for the Horizon news paper. In this you will find further information regarding performances, films, games, talks and much, much more.

Day 3: Haugesund, Norway

While the town itself is relatively young, the surrounding region was once a thriving center of Viking activity, and Norway’s first king, Harald Fairhair, lived just 8km away. Haugesund may be small, but it's rich in culture, hosting the renowned Norwegian International Film Festival and an annual jazz festival that draws visitors from around the world.

As we dock, you’ll have the option to explore the charming town, where you can stroll along its picturesque streets, visit local shops, and perhaps discover more about its Viking heritage. Alternatively, you can choose to stay aboard the Britannia and take full advantage of its fantastic facilities, including the sauna, steam room, swimming pool, and a range of other amenities to help you relax and unwind.

Throughout the trip, the Limitless staff will be available to accompany you off the ship and provide assistance as you explore this magical destination, ensuring you have the support you need to fully enjoy your time in Haugesund.

Day 4: Nordfjordeid, Norway

Tucked away at the end of one of Norway’s most stunning waterways, Nordfjordeid is a charming and picturesque hidden gem. This quaint town offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural treasures, making it an ideal stop on your Norwegian adventure.

Stroll through the town’s historic centre, where you'll find an array of white-painted buildings housing cozy cafés, inviting restaurants, traditional bakeries, and delightful shops. Take your time to enjoy the local flavors or pick up a souvenir from one of the many unique boutiques. For those interested in architecture, don’t miss the modern opera house, an impressive cultural hub, or the 19th-century Eid Church, famous for its detailed carvings and intricate paintings that showcase its rich heritage.

A visit to the Sagastad Viking Heritage Centre is a must for history enthusiasts. Here, you can explore interactive exhibits that bring Viking history to life and even step aboard the Myklebust, a stunning 100-foot-long replica of one of the largest Viking ships ever discovered. This fascinating experience will transport you back in time to the days when the Vikings ruled these very waters.

In the early evening you will then set sail back up the fjord to take in the magnificent sights of this famous waterway.

Day 5: Ålesund, Norway

Famous for its Art Nouveau architecture, Ålesund is the cultural centre of the Sunnmøre region. Enjoy a scenic cruise of Geirangerfjord before you disembark in the centre of town. One stormy night a hundred years ago, the town burned down and was entirely rebuilt in Art Nouveau style with a varied cultural scene, exciting cafes and restaurants.

Your final port of call is the enchanting city of Stavanger, a fitting finale to your journey along Norway’s breathtaking coastline. Once a powerful Viking stronghold, Stavanger is famous for its charming, well-preserved wooden houses that line the historic center, creating a quaint and picturesque atmosphere that transports you back in time.

Stavanger holds a special place in Norwegian history, often referred to as the "Cradle of the Vikings." Its rich heritage dates back to 872 when Viking King Harald Hårfagre unified Norway in nearby Hafrsfjord, marking the foundation of the Kingdom of Norway. Beyond its scenic beauty, this vibrant city boasts a unique blend of historical significance and modern cultural offerings. After your last breakfast, we’ll help you check-out. Your bags will be taken down by the Britannia's crew and our care team will be on-hand to assist you. From here you will join the transfers back to the pick-up points, relaxed, rejuvenated and ready for your next Limitless adventure. We can’t wait to see you again!

Welcome aboard P&O's Britannia. Boasting luxurious fittings and facilities, as well as a cool, contemporary style. Each accessible cabin comes with:

  • Accessible cabins available on request (very limited) - with wide access doors and space for mobility scooters to be stored
  • All bathrooms come with wet rooms, wide door access and grip-handles
  • Equipment hire available (including powered wheelchairs + hoists)

Full board: all meals are included in the price of your cruise holiday for complete ease and mouth-watering luxury at sea. There’s also an option to add a ‘drinks package’, which can be done either before or during your cruise.

Going from home to holiday has never been easier. We'll pick you in an accessible minibus, transferring you directly to the port where our team will be waiting to assist with check in.

This door to door transfer service is included free of charge each way for journeys within 125 miles of the port. For any journeys greater than 125 miles a charge of £3.25 per mile will apply (up to a maximum distance of 250 miles).

Please note, if you live in the following regions: Yorkshire, North East England, Wales, then an additional charge of £200 may be applied to your booking. This is due to our drivers needing to travel the night before to ensure pick up can be completed at the scheduled time on departure day.
